The Role
We are seeking an articulate, professional, and high-energy Marketing & Business Development Support Specialist to bridge the gap between our brand message and our sales results. 

This is a versatile position ideal for a professional who understands that modern B2B growth requires a blend of general marketing strategy and direct business development. You will work closely with our Marketing team to create collateral, manage campaigns, and conduct market research, while also serving as a frontline brand ambassador for our Director of Business Development to cultivate new business opportunities.

What You'll Do 

1. General Marketing & Brand Support 

  • Integrated Marketing Initiatives: Support the execution of holistic marketing campaigns across multiple channels—including digital, email, print, and events. Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Content & Collateral Production: Assist in creating and curating compelling content for various mediums. This includes drafting sales one-pagers, refining pitch decks, writing case studies, and creating engaging posts for social media/web.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to support data-driven strategies. Analyze industry trends, gather competitive intelligence, and identify potential high-value events or partnerships.
  • Community & Brand Engagement: Monitor brand presence and engage with our community to transform followers into brand advocates. Translate complex business objectives into clear, human-centric messaging that resonates with our audience.

2. Business Development & Sales Support
 
  • Lead Cultivation: Act as a point of human contact for inbound leads generated through marketing efforts. Qualify inquiries professionally before routing them to leadership.
  • Event Representation: Travel to and attend trade shows and industry conferences (approx. 10-20% travel). You will staff the booth, network with attendees, and professionally represent the PEC brand to cultivate new relationships.
  • Outreach & Appointment Setting: Conduct research-backed initial outreach to prospective partners (such as government organizations, healthcare providers, or educational institutions) to secure appointments for the Director of Business Development.

Required Skills & Experience
 
  • Experience: 3+ years of B2B marketing or business development experience. We are looking for a generalist with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns, collateral creation, or sales support initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable. You must be able to write clean, persuasive emails, create professional documents, and hold engaging face-to-face conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Professional Presence: You are well-presented, articulate, and confident in speaking with senior professionals, both in person at events and over video calls.
  • Digital Fluency: While this is a generalist role, proficiency with digital marketing principles (SEO, Content Strategy, LinkedIn Advertising) is required.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint/Excel) is required. Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., CRMs, Google Analytics, Social Management platforms) is expected.
  • Research Ability: You know how to dig for information online to find the right decision-maker or competitive intelligence.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience in the EdTech, Corporate Training, or Professional Services industries.
  • Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to support the creation of sales decks and marketing flyers.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) or video editing tools.
 

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
